I genuinely think they'll be up there within the decade

Their owners are going to pump money in until they're Chelsea (ironically at the expense of Chelsea)
I'm not so sure. I think they'll certainly become a regular in the PL but challenging at that level is a huge step up and their spending hasn't been extraordinary.

Well not as of yet and while that may change, I have a feeling that it'll unlikely be to the levels required to really reach the top echelons of the league.

Also, I do believe that a lot of their future success will focus on their relationship with Mendes. Will they keep their best players or will he syphon them off?

See today's panel of Souness and Carragher

Surely they could have booted Carra out and given Ian Wright a pay day?
They are everywhere. When we played Spurs earlier in the season, the pundits were the stalwart Souness and Bellamy! Where's the Spurs or Everton pundit?

They already have Souness, Redknapp, Carragher to pick from but they go for another as the press and the RS are completely intertwined - they dominate it!

Over on their rival BT, yoy have Owen, McManaman, Beglin and Gerrard (before his current job) who were/are regulars. Let's not get onto the BBC either.

The fact that the utter ale house, fat yard dog Charlie Adam is now involved at the BBC, backs this up.
He doesn't even talk eloquently.
