Sterling has come on leaps and bounds scary tbh how far he can go... his stats must be up there with the the very best and hes what 23?

Ive never understud to hate for him tbh, seems a decent lad and not too full of himself actually abit shy if anything?

Is right raheem lad

.....said it for an age, he’s this country’s best player by some stretch. Folk laugh because he misses simple chances without commending him for continually being on the end of things in the 6 yard box. Add to that his pace, strength and technical ability to go past players and you have a recipe for something special.

He’d be very special if he was a consistently clean striker of a football.

I like his movement. Always looking to get in behind.

I think he’s an excellent footballer and he’s improved significantly since moving , he certainly rarely gets credit for England . During some internationals he’s ranked the lowest score but some of his movement, closing down and overall work had created space or chances that led to winning results , when he’s more clinical like last night it just highlights his ability.

The only concern I’ve had with him is his mental strength, if he starts poor it can seem to dwell on him and he can go missing although that seems to be declining under pep .

....not seen the ‘going missing’ myself, indeed his mental strength is something i’ve always thought he had in abundance. He misses chances but he doesn’t hide, he continues to hit the box and look for goals. I think he’s got the mental ability to shrug things off.

I certainly think he’s grown whilst at city but I can’t believe it’s a coincidence his poorest games for city were against the RS . I can think of an England international or possibly two were a coupe of poor touches or a missed chance early seemed indicative of what we’d see during the game . I know i mentioned to the lads I was with during the game and I thought I may have posted it . It’s an observation rather than a criticism as I’m a big fan of the lad and I certainly think he’s improved , I was also happy to argue in his favour during the WC when he was undoubtedly unfairly maligned .

@Eggs

Just listening to the news and they spoke to three England supporters about sterling after his hat-trick and their attitude towards him is amazing . One gave him the praise he was due , another just said the third was the luckiest goal ever whilst the final one said after missing all his chances at the World Cup that’s what we want him to do . Talk about damning with faint praise , I’m not sure what the lad has to do to get the credit he’s due .

Thats England fans for you.
That's why I believe a lot of English football fans don't care about their national team.

....he had the audacity to leave the Reds. I can remember him getting loudly booed at England games and i’m sure that was the reason.
