Portugal are done, especially once Ronaldo’s decline begins. Netherlands are improving but they’re managed by that fat mess and still have Ryan Babel getting games so they’ve still got some way to go. Quarters for them at best.
Portugal have a very talented generation coming through, a little bit older than our Sancho generation

Think the next Euros is a bit soon to expect that generation to do anything though. The key senior players that helped them win in 2016 are pretty much all over the hill now. The middle generation, aside from Bernardo Silva, aren’t anything special whatsoever.

Looking at the Nations League finals in Portugal latest odds

England are favourites with 16 bookmakers on oddschecker compared to only two having Portugal ahead.

Best price for both Eng and Port 2/1

Holland 10/3

Switzerland 13/3

So England favourites with most bookmakers

(And what a great start it has been for this tournament, with the other tournaments finals over bloated and over long (48!!!!!! teams proposed) and never ending pointless qualifiers, the Nations League is going to be huge in future years)

Think the quality of most International teams has gone downhill big time myself.

Youve got Brazil and Argieland constantly drawing or getting smashed by no marks, the Germans look very poor, Italy the same, Portugal without CR7 are shocking. Didnt even watch the England games, but their results show they are a decent side, with some very good young players coming through. The scene is set for them to go deep in most comps for the next few years for sure.

If only they had a good manager.

Spain scraping past Norway at home and Croatia scraping past Azerbaijan at home yesterday proved that. Taking nothing away from England's achievements, but those two are in bad form it seems.

Argentina losing 3-1 to Venezuela and Brazil drawing with Panama. Germany nearly lost at home to serbia too, the quality has fallen massively without a doubt. I mean ffs, Wales with lower league players got to the semis two years ago.

All that clamour couple of summers ago for Emil Forsberg and he’s super overrated in my opinion. Laimer would have been a much better option. (I know Forsberg had a bad injury).

@Borussin

sorry, only saw this now!

Forsberg has been a non entity really last season and a half. Both him and Werner look more like one season wonders. But yes, Forsberg has spent a lot of time either out injured, or fighting persistant niggly injuries so that has to be taken into account. I would think Leipzig regret not cashing in on him after that season!

Bailey, Kostic, Hazard and Rashica are left sided attackers in the league that I'd look at ahead of Forsberg these days, and all are younger too. His star has faded.

Tranmere six wins on the bounce, James Nowood 26 goals, top scorer in the Football League and has 49 goals in his last 88 games.

Good for them. Whilst for some reason, they detest us, I'd like them to get back to the team they were even 5-6 years ago.

Proper football league club, whilst you'd got fodder like Forest Green knocking around and Burton.

Do people really have doubts Scotland won't beat San Marino? like seriously?

As for International Football, why detract from England's moment? They comprehensively beat Czech's, Beat Spain in their own back yard, and have made the finals of the Nations League (Which, UEFA absolutely smashed, what an idea!), if the standard has dropped, then good on England for taking advantage.
