This is why I said I half hoped we'd put a cheeky bid of around the same fee they paid for him and see if they'd accept.
This is what I said about arsenal, their squad is arguably on par with ours and doesn't have as much depth. I mean iwobi would be about 8th choice. But they have £150m worth of talent in lacazette, ozil and aubameyang that will best nearly all the defences in the league.
So I couldn't work out whether we'd give them a good go for top 6. Seems that if spurs grind out wins and united will eventually turn the corner that 7th will be the best we can hope for again.
