It’s the half yard that makes all the difference. The difference between attackers getting a shot off or not, the difference between the press getting played through or it being smothered. When they’re sopping they’re gaining the half yard all the time and everything goes their way, when they’re off it the same group of players looks a yard off the pace and gets ripped through (normally at which point the media decide all these 29 year olds are finished and Klopp needs new players).

I’m never having Elliot Jones Gomez Gakpo Gravenberch McCallister Tsimikas and those two kids they’ve got at the back as world class yet they’re the players that are currently practically unbeatable in all competitions all season.
