So there's yet another guaranteed trophyless season for so-called elite club Tottenham.
A piss poor 2 league titles in their entire history, last of which in 1961. No FA Cup win, or even reached a final since 1991. In the Premier League era they've won just two League Cups. Even we've won a more prestigious trophy in that time.
Their continued presence as a supposed 'big 6' club continues to really grate me. They've done next to nothing to be part of any group of 'elite' clubs.

It’s not just about trophies though is it anymore in the modern game. Whether you like it or not it’s also about money/finances as Everton are finding out right now. Spurs are now the richest club in London- they have built a billion pound stadium and make tonnes of money for the PL league. You might think that’s terrible and worth nothing but Sky, the PL and the money men think the opposite.
Spurs have grown organically to compete without an
Oil state or oligarch financing them and that’s pretty much unheard of in today’s game. Spurs shouldn’t even be close to CL let alone getting to the final. Spurs are pretty much self sufficient now and yeah they win f all but they will never get deducted points for FFP breaches and most likely will never relegated. Spurs are with the elite clubs because of their money and the way they are run.
