Unfortunately that's how the modern game is. Look at Foden yesterday. I know he's an exception. But your wide midfielders have to work back and having said that, it's nothing new. All successful teams have players who work like trojans all over the pitch and always have had.

Look at our great teams of the past - andy gray was a torment to defenders, so was inchy, sharp; the entire side worked harder without the ball than they did with it, but when they got it they did damage.

Them barstewards over the park in the 80s were famous for it, as were fergies United teams more recently.

City and the pedz do it now, they run you to death.

We’ve got players turning their backs on shots, crapping out of tackles and jogging around or not tracking back.

That's exactly my point mate. It's OK having these fancy Dan's in your team but if they don't graft for 90 minutes plus they're not worth a carrot.
