I work in IT - best I do at home is game on my PC, I don't have a full server rack setup at home like.

I personally know some pro footballers here in Bulgaria who basically watch only the Euros/WC and some tournament finals and basically 'event' games and play 5/7-a-side with friends more than watch games, it's not that uncommon, from what I hear from them.
