Yeah.

I liked/followed Heitinga from his Ajax days, as a friend at the time followed them and loved him so to see he'd joined us for next to no money on deadline day was a very good surprise. Got a shirt with his name on it that same year too :)

Moyes did him dirty though - after he'd just won player of the season (as a CB with Jags) he was dropped because he's not left footed, and instead had to be shoehorned him into any position imaginable. It wasn't all bad for us obviously as Distin stepped up massively, but it was a bit weird at the time.

Proper leader, in my book, with the ability to back it up - like a shorter Tarkowski lol

I actually broke the bank when his pop's was auctioning off an autographed worn match day Everton shirt for some Dutch charity...

Could have done without the 'worn' part. When it arrived in the post, it smelt like Johny. :oops:
