That’s more on NT where the non-capital clubs have little say on callups - a big reason why cules applaud Cubarsi not going to Euros (he’ll be going to Olympics)

Difference now is Laporta et al are lobbying RFEF to be reasonable citing Pedri case. Gavi’s injury has little to do with this

Special care was already being taken in beginning of season with Yamal as he was the most dangerous attacking player in 1st team yet wasn’t starting

His ceiling is difficult to gauge because he has so many weapons already at 16, knowing his development is still in early stages and not limited to his physique

As I mentioned last year at 15 when it was clear he was going to explode on the scene, he is an ambitious talent with a flair only legends of game possessed. If he stays healthy, physically and mentally, BdO is a certainty

I mean getting called up to the Euros is great, but the 50 games for Barca this season has nothing to do with the NT?

Euros is only one competition, the NT still has friendlys and callups throughout year. 50 appearances over 12 months, sure but in terms of minutes it was closer to 30 matches. A lot for a 16 year old, no question but equally the club is sensitive to managing his appearances to avoid overload

It’s all a bit unprecedented - no one predicted he would hit the ground running like he has or that his decisionmaking would be what it has been. An anomaly that absolutely should be managed with care - a big reason why I hope Nico Williams will become his attacking partner for club too, I envision an era defining attack. Messi had Ronaldinho & Samu to ease his transition and burden to be a catalyst - here, Lamine is THE playmaker

I'd suggest 33 matches of minutes in La Liga and CL at 16 is not managing his load.
 

Málaga came from behind and beat Celta Fortuna yesterday in play off semi finals of the third tier.

2 legged final coming up against Gimnastic Tarragona or Ceuta.

Deportivo were also at this level and won their division and went up to segunda a few weeks ago.

Sad to hear. As much as i despise everything about them, Hansen was some player in his pomp.
