Football has become stupid in the last few years, you hardly got results like these:
Sheffield Utd 0-8 Newcastle
Liverpool 9-0 Bournemouth
Southampton 0-9 Leicester
Liverpool 7-0 Man United
Man United 9-0 Southampton
Add City winning an fa cup final a record 6-0 and it makes me wonder if its becoming non competitive since they virtually outlawed tackling. It just seems the best sides now are the ones that can dominate possession knowing they can't be touched so just steamroller lesser sides.

I was gonna say, i could have sworn I’d seen pictures from decades ago where it was exactly the same.

They aren’t happening several times a week, scores like today are still relatively rare. Just some times things just go right for teams.

Brighton and Newcastle had 2 of the worst teams in the league. I wouldn’t read too much into it right now. Probably still playing on adrenalin from being in Europe. Newcastle have a heavy fixture list in the next couple of weeks, it will catch them.
