Can't really tell from one game which it was. Newcastle looked good but some better finishing by us and we could have been 2-3, Watkins and Diaby could both have scored. The game changed with Mings injury. Looks like our second ACL injury to a 1st team player in 3 days which is a right pain. If I was the Ref I would have given Martinez a red, it was a comical foul. Overall Toon looked good and continued on from last season. We have work to do and need to sort out our defense and playing the Highline. It the the style Emery wants and it will take some time to get right. I hope we have the players that can adapt to the system he wants to play. It looks like we are signing Zaniolo which will help. Its not a nice start to the season for us but onwards and upwards. We need a morale boosting win in our next game

Our largest fee was Gylfi and second was Richarlison. They have already signed two players above Gyfli and three additional higher than Richarlison. Plus Tonali is allegedly on over 200k a week something we simply could not ever have done. It isn't the same.
