Still a footballing genius this lad - knows the country/area as well, sound.

I've been thinking recently that Benitez is probably the most overrated manager and biggest fraud in my lifetime. His Champions League win was a fluke, nothing more. They struggled to even get out of the group stage, 2 Did a mistakes and Shevchenko missing a sitter created the illusion he was a great manager. He consistently other than one season failed to challenge for the league and when they did, he screwed it up, drawing against average sides at home. Won the fa cup on penalties, when you look at how poor they were under him, you do realise how good Gerrard was. Was watching highlights of them losing to United, I can't believe how poor Steve Finnan was, made Him very look like Cafu. Without Gerrard they'd of been mid table.

Yes he did and I am sure he still would have been a top player but perhaps not quite the force he was in his era.

Yeh I know they struggled for goals last season but that side is comfortable for me.
