Starting to get a few players back from injury and suspension although not sure how long Maddison and VDV are out for.

I see no reason why he cant do other games, how far do you take it, cant do Arsenal cos Title, cant do Everton/Utd/City cos rivals, cant do Chelsea cos also rivals and so on.

Imagine a Leicester supporting ref last season officiating an EFC game that decided which of the teams went down.

It would obviously be a conflict of interest.

Where do you draw the line? All teams are in competition against each other. Points at the start of the season are just as valuable as those at the end of the season.

I think you just have to go off the understanding, and hope, that ref's are professionals who can park their feelings around who they support when officiating. Not every footballer supporter is an insane man-child incapable of viewing the game without blatant prejudice.

If Ralf Little turns up running the line then I'll think about it. Otherwise I wouldn't put too much stock in one of the weaker episodes of Inside No.9.
