Remember the days when you were gutted if the same 11 didn’t play 42 in a row. A much more physical game these days thoughNot sure if it's been mentioned but they had to play 3 games in a row with the same 11 players!
Way aye man
Would have been better had they stayed in europe as they may not have been arsed about the league cup then, it could come back to haunt us if we meet them in the semis.
Hopefully they have cheaper tickets as I might not be able to afford so soon after Xmas. We don't usually bother anymore in cup matches and field the kids so Aldershot may get a decent result.Brilliant win for Aldershot (where I saw my first ever league game in October 66) at Stockport who now head off to The Hawthorns in Round 3. Pulis was still in charge there last time I went there (with Palace) but Aldershot should get around 4000 tickets. Looking forward to it. Up The Shots! @Littlesue
Rebecca Welch to become Premier League's first female referee
Rebecca Welch will become the first female referee to take charge of a men's Premier League match on 23 December.www.bbc.co.uk
I’ll admit my first thought was “how will a female be able to keep up with play when refereeing elite top level male athletes?”.
But then I remember the state of some of the absolute fat messes of male referees we have / have had in the PL over recent seasons (hi John Moss), so I’m sure she’ll be just fine.
