People have a moan about how long the ball is out of play in a match and then they have a moan when the PL tries to make up for it

People moaning about the ball being out of play is just a recent thing, some whinging managers and the bad stat heads.

Never ever heard anyone complain about it in my life. Never left a game hearing "k'nell lads, there were looooads if throw ins and 9 mins of time wasting"

It's purely TV enforced. New fans not getting enough "ball in play" and 100% not discussed with any of the managers and players

We played Fulham off the pitch and contrived to miss a cow's arse with multiple banjos.

We were very good last week - let down by appalling finishing, a lack of conviction, and a stupid piece of defending.

Yeah, maybe he had personal / family reasons not to go but from the outside it looks crazy to turn that down. Almost no point managers showing loyalty these days when loyalty is so rarely shown to them.

Fulham way overperformed their stats last year and even with Mitro it would be a challenge just to maintain their placing from last year, so Silva's stock was probably artificially high and it seems to me he should've cashed in while it was.
