looking at palace's team and you wonder how they got promoted, hardly heard of any of them. does anyone reckon spurs have spent the bale money already or have they made all these signings and will sign even more after he's gone?

they've certainly splashed the dosh like, maybe they did it in expectance of arsenal doing similar and felt they needed to keep up their champs league push.

This you Alan?

So far, it's a bit like I thought. Spurs midfield isn't really dynamic at the moment. Good technically but no pace or tempo.

And they're risking a lot on the Spanish kid. He doesn't deliver, I can't see goals anywhere on the park.

Pains to say but the RS and their movement from the first game of the season seemed impressive.

Wasn't Dempsey the No.2 goalscorer there despite not starting much in the 1st half of the season? They have a bunch of fancy mids but besides Bale not really any goal scorers. They look a lot like us at the moment.

It's weird because the spine of that spurs team is immense..... Loris, vertongen and Dawson, paulinho and dembele, and soldado up top. Add to that Lennon, chadli and sigurdson and that should really be a fantastic team.

Their squad is made up of defensive midfielders and central midfielders with no real pace.

Hinges on Paulinho and Dembele bagging goals from midfield. Dembele has never been prolific - 5 or 6 tops. And Paulinho might have slotted a couple in Brazil but the Premiership is a total step up.

Big season for Holtby. He looks like he can open doors if he gets games, but again no goals.

Defoe might be off too. Lennon is hit and miss.

So without Bale... Yeah. Tough.

On Fifa. 2 have to adjust to the prem.

Like KB's saying, they've got quality and some great engine players but where's the ingenuity? Chadli is the most creative player out there but he's playing his first game in a far more difficult league.

It seems weird that they just keep signing industrious CM after industrious CM. Capoue, Sandro, Paulinho et al -- all top notch, but not the types of players to unlock defences.

Van Der Vaart and Modric type players. They don't have that. When they did, champions league. Without... Have to wait for arsenal to full implode
