Truth be told they never looked like breaking them down the whole game. twice against decent sides they've looked clueless going forward.

Selling Rooney would be suicide for them now.

That was a pitiful performance at home. United had the lions share of it.
 
United didn't have the quality to break them down in the end. Probably would have in the end had Rooney been available though, Liverpool lived on the edge by sitting back and inviting them on. Coutinho was encouragingly anonymous.

That from the sh*te reminds me of when we were at our grittiest in numerous games against City and United under Moyes. It's their cup final at the end of the day. They aren't top 4 contenders yet as they don't have the quality imo.
