We're not going to catch Liverpool. The only hope we have of them not finishing 4th is Spurs kicking on. There's nothing to gain from finishing 5th either as City will win the League Cup and 6th place will be a Europa place.

But that's not what i was talking about.

Would you rather we finish 5th and get in the Europa with them finishing 4th, or finish 6th and get in the Europa with them finishing 5th....

The answer is obvious.

Them finishing in the Champions League would be massive for them, and as a result would hurt us big time. They'd keep Suarez and be able to justify spending tens of millions of pounds in the Summer.
