I have the belief, from what I have seen so far in his 1st season, that Martinez has the motivation, belief and talent to improve us as well. So what if the other teams improve, we will just also have to improve. Yes, we do not have the financial clout the other teams have but who is to say that Martinez cannot get good players that will perfectly fit into his way of playing.

On another note Van Wolfswinkel is gash (cue a couple of stunners from him).

Money has proven to trump competence almost every single time. Martinez and Moyes have built sides with a 1st choice 11 that can compete with anyone. Its that pesky depth thing though. Lukaku gets hurt and we have to put in Naismith (who gives his all but...), Aguero gets hurt and City puts in Dzeko, arguably one of the 10 best strikers in the world.

The FA is content to sit of their laurels and smooch the back sides of the monied clubs too (see B side clubs) instead of installing a luxury tax and/or playoffs for the 4th spot. Until that happens we are screwed.

I'm about ready for the sky 4 to F-off and go form their European league now.
 

well i fear thats that gentlemen, get used to 5 minute long shots of that bulb fest on the kop before kickoff on a tuesday next season, spurs have lost bale and brought in an idiot to manage them, utd have moyes and we have a terrible chairman who hinders all progress

Oh, I agree.

But let's not just give up, it may take 2 years, 3 years, maybe even 10 years but I have faith that the manager we have now can build something here. He is a winner and that was Moyes problem while here, there was that little bit of negativity when we came up against the big guns or had that chance to kick on.

Martinez yesterday not talking about finances or gun fights, simply talking the players up. We are not that far off, just need that little bit of ruthlessness and belief.

looking that way, they've come across a formula that has gotten them fourth, other teams will adapt at some point and we will see what their sleezy manager will do then, but for the time being they are a top four team in this league, we have to keep going and see what the summer brings, first season for berto, I'd have taken this, but once we had promised more its a bit harder to take, and a very everton transfer window is the real kick in the teeth from bill and co
