united get a few good defenders in and that's a really good team. just there's a massive drop from starting XI to subs

Uniteds trouble is somewhat similar to ours in that they have an ageing spine with players like Evra, Ferdinand, Vidic, Carrick, Fletcher and Van Persie all vital but need replacing urgently as their form has dipped and at their age will probably never become what it once was.

If they miss out on Europe this year, not only will they struggle to attract the best players again , they will quite possibly struggle to retain quality players like Rafael, De Gea, Hernandez, Januzaj, Mata etc.

Ferguson proved over the years he could break down title winning sides and rebuild new ones gradually that were perhaps even better. Moyes has no experience at that, and I think even Ferguson would struggle to rebuild a title winning side without the carrot of Champions League Football, even with the pull of Manchester United as a club.

Anyone get the feeling they're going to do another first half wonder show and go in 3 or 4-0 up?

Not sure about that but have a feeling it might be that by full time

Some good bets out there imo, Sturridge 16/1 to score in both halves

I'm enjoying the fact right now that Kopites will be farting and shitting themselves at the thought of failing here.

*laughs*

We should be wanting Liverpool and Arsenal wins today, but... I want a draw between United/LFC personally. Wouldn't mind a result either way for differing reasons so a draw is a good compromise.

Fully expecting Liverpool to win by three or four here. A Moyes side in a big game... I'd be surprised if it's not over inside 30 minutes.
