Their not underachieving their about the 6th/7th biggest club in the country and they compete for the top 4 most season.

If anyone is underachieving in this country it is not spurs but Aston villa

i just see the players they've churned out and especially their squad in the last couple of years, they really should be up there challenging for the title imo.

but i think they always look better on paper than how good the players are possibly.

No Dave, it hurts us if United get a good manager.

It doesn't really matter whether he goes this Thursday or not (I dont think they will sack him mid-season, not a chance really), in the very near future they WILL have a new manager, because Moyes is completely and utterly a busted flush.

And I'm not saying 5th is all we should aspire to either, but considering we've had a new manager, who has brought in new players and we look set to possibly finish higher than we did last season, I see no reason not to be happy with that as a finish

We've spent the equivalent bar of soap and a packet of matches in comparison to the teams in the top 4 slots. Finishing 5th in that sense would not be a bad finish and could be a stepping stone to greater things

So what if Liverpool win the league? Yeah, I won't be happy, but at the end of the day my primary focus is how well Everton do, not how well the other lot over the park do.

we've spent the equivilant of selling a bar of soap and a packet of matches and then some actually.

agree with bold, nobody would have said 5th is where we should be finishing at the start of the season. it would have been a hope.

(please don't vault me, because i think i may have actually said that tbh)

RVP knows hes gone, thats the only reason hes talking about a new contract.

The two best results for us today, plus a last minute winner yesterday and I feel unmoved.

The spectre of the club of sorrows getting a helping hand toward the PL trophy by refs who give them everything they appeal for is pissing me off no end.

maybe you should try supporting everton davek.

we gained 3 points on our nearest european rivals - been a great weekend for us, be arsed what happened to liverpool.

Look, has it ever occurred to you that our obsession with that other lot is a tad unhealthy?

I mean, the bloody song lyric is "We don't care what the Red Side say"

Let them do whatever it is they're going to do and let's just focus on ourselves

Finishing 5th and getting into Europe would be a GOOD thing and we should be happy if it happens, regardless if LFC win the league at the same time
Madness. There are many many things I'd sacrifice to avoid Liverpool as champions.

Oh let's not get at each other lads. Just because it's looking like that horrible bunch might win the title, doesn't mean we can't be positive about the season we've had

Yeah, it's not all been great, but it's a step in the right direction I feel

As Derek said, if they win the title it will be cos they deserve it, I aint gonna say good luck to them, but they are certainly looking very good recently, sadly.
