Fair enough, but the bigger question is "will he just surrender it"? Surely the fans and board will not be happy with that?

very poor if he does. i'm not a fan of people who give up so easily on things. will be just RS luck that they get to play the 2nd best team in the league when they decide to rest all their team though.

the FA will give them a meaningless fine when every other team this season has had to play their best team available, not particularly fair is it?

Czech and terry confirmed out for rest of the season.....so that's Czech, terry, eto & hazard out for the Liverpool game....any slight hope is fading fast....

and you forgot ramires who will surely get a ban announced tomorrow.

add that to david silva being out for citys next two games (including against us thank god!) and you really have to wonder about some 'forces' backing them up.

Was wondering how many injuries Chelsea would get.

He simply cannot risk an injury to Cahill or Luis or Schwarzer for that matter.

O

crap forgot about Ramirez...

Ace, "mission impossible" for Chelsea is well and truly on. This is the stuff dreams are made off. It'll be a Michael Thomas moment all over again. Can't wait. I'm going for an Ashley Cole brace.

Not going to make any difference I fear. As always I'll be rooting for the oppo, but can't see the RS dropping points in 2 out of their remaining 3 games. Karma doesn't exist where that shower are concerned.

they wont care if he gets them into another final mate

its all very well saying its possible that liverpool might lose vs palace or newcastle, but it's just as big of an ask for chelsea to actually beat them at anfield, especially considering chelsea will be missing at least a couple key players anyway (ramires, cech, terry)

don't get me wrong, he won't have the chelsea side roll over. he'll probably employ similar tactics to the ones he did against atleti tonight which relies less on a stellar 11 than going for the win. if he ends up nicking a goal for a 1-0 he looks like a genius

I see what you mean, but even if he does that - Suarez and Sturridge alone will probably just annihilate them anyway, if they try to play super defensively that is...

Hope they win anyway

even if chelsea can beat liverpool , liverpool would need to lose against newcastle or palace.

titles gone for chelsea mate, jose knows it

You're underestimating the pressure they'd be under if Chelsea did beat them, and also underestimating how good Palace are at turning over top teams. If Liverpool HAVE to beat Palace on the last day to secure the league I wouldn't put it past Palace to stop them.

If there's any justice in the world this title race isn't over yet.

EDIT: My bad, didn't realise they played Palace in their penultimate game, but my point still stands.

jose isnt a chancer though , that scenario not only relies on liverpool unexpectedly losing (as well as chelsea managing to get the win - which will be tough), but it also relies on man city slipping up

his main priority will be the game he can control, and thats atletico

it will be tough for liverpool whatever team chelsea put out. just think man city are the ones who can catch them, not chelsea.

Fair enough but for Man City to catch them Chelsea will probably have to beat Liverpool anyway.

Interesting the amount of abuse Guardiola gets on here for every Bayern game for 'killing' the game whilst Mourinho gets off relatively lightly.

How far down the captain pecking order is David Luiz? Seemed like he was doing his best to usurp his whole team. Torres had a good game considering he was so isolated.
