suppose. think you have a better overall squad with more in-depth quality though. your midfield pisses all over ours when fit though.

wilshire is utter turd - there's no chance of me overrating him, ha
We have way more squad players than Everton yeah, but if you compare the first teams, there's not much difference. We need a severe upgrade, changing one or two players is not going to cut it, especially if we want to reach the level of Bayern Munich like our Directors and Gazidis promised. We need to get rid of the second rate squad players and sell them for inflated prices which I'm sure we could.

Ozil is basically the difference between us. Coleman was being run ragged at the Emirates when Ozil was playing, he was regularly caught out of position by Ozil's movements. What happened without Ozil? We made him look like Cafu.

Thankfully the false hope is over for us. Obviously gutted we threw it away after having it in our own hands, but now let's just bleedin' get one point at least v Hull and make sure the RS don't win the league. Them second and us 5th or 6th would be a good season, but still leave me majorly disappointed with that Palace game; we had it in our hands ffs, a club-changing three points that would have possibly given us Champions League, and the players bottled it.

he's done that to pretty much every team mate, hence why he's in TOTY.

what do you think of sanogo? he looks lively, but can't finish for toffee, he's surely not good enough for arsenal if he's a lone striker that can't score?

I don't really like to discuss Sanogo, he's still very young and raw as a player. It wasn't his fault he was put in this position. The buck stops with the manager.

Who knows how he will turn out but we need to bring in two strikers who have excellent technique and finishing and can play at a moment's notice rather than waiting 2 or 3 years for them to develop as a striker like Sanogo. It's amazing how we got 4th without a proper striker.

chelsea are 2nd and in the SF of the CL with three average strikers, well ba isn't, but barely been played.

couldn't padolski do it? seems like he cba to track back from the left, play him up top?

I guess it says a lot about the rest of the teams that.

Looks to me like there are three outstanding teams this year, and then Arsenal have just shaded the best of a bad bunch between you, us, Spurs and United, then the rest are a much of a muchness...

Eto'o is by no means average, he might be older now and lacks the pace he used to have but his technique is nothing short of world class. Ba and Torres are decent and all of them are better than Giroud without exception.

Podolski doesn't seem to fit as a striker or maybe Wenger's system isn't suited to him up front. I would allow him a good string of games up front if it was up to me, but it seems like Wenger despises him for some reason. He never gets a fair amount of minutes on the pitch and if the rumours are correct, he is set to leave this summer because he has fallen out of favour with Wenger.

He's our most clinical player, it's quite clear he deserves to play and yet he has spent most of the year on the bench when fit and available.

sounds like Vellios

I watched Spurs Vs Anderlecht from 1984 last night, rather than the Arsenal match

I'm sure @Yid4life has watched that quite a few times ;)

Just started Everton Vs Bayern Munich as well. About 10 minutes in. Will enjoy the rest of it when I get home tonight. Then, Rapid Vienna (Which I've never watched all the way through, believe it or not. I have seen he highlights but never the full match)

One thing taken from last nights game.

YOu have been through a tough time recently Arsne, most notably at goodison. Are you proud of your players for getting through this?

FFS they are only 4th because we lost 2 out of our last 3. Otherwise we would be fourth and they would still be chasing us. They are 4th out of luck, not because they have done well recently. Come may they have had a better season than us fair enough but they are now where they need to be because of our failings, rather than their superiority.

No mate. They are where they are because they've won more points than us. Fair and Square. They've got results when it mattered while we floundered.

Credit to them, they handled the pressure well, we folded.

Thats what i mean about the better season come may.

But they are not 4th now because they have been such a better team, we lost two games, one at home and the other with two own goals.

West lost them and we aren't finishing 4th now because of it but anyobody would have had those games down as 4 points gained 2 weeks ago and that would have us level with them, with a better goal difference.

Point being, therefore us dropping horrible points have let them back in, whereas we earned our place in the league recently.
