Clattenburg. The whole of Europe witnessed what a useless clown he is last night. Lost control and sent players off who should have stayed on and kept those on who should have walked. Trying to look in command but fear etched across his face. He did all he could to deny Benfica that win last night. It's a miracle they're through, though fatally weakened for the final thanks to that bent divvy.

I'd like to see him fight and pack of rabid dogs, while wearing a suit made of steak and with just a plunger to defend himself

Not that it may interest any of you but the Portuguese league will be expanded from its current format of 16 to include 18 teams from next season. Allowing the return of the most successful club outside of the "big three", Boavista - a team based in Porto whom won the league in 2001 but were demoted to the third division for financial reasons in 2009.

Athletic Bilbao qualified for the CL tonight with a 3-0 win at Rayo Valecano. They should get a decent draw as they were in the Europa League final 2 years ago and hopefully get in the group stages.

Barring a massive freak turnaround in GD, a Spurs defeat today means Europe is guaranteed.

Having said that, this is the second time in the last few weeks I've been desperate for West Ham to win a game at home and you just know Fat Sam is gonna blow it again.

yep...insanity is expecting West Ham to stop doing the same thing over and over (ie losing) and expecting a different result
