If this stays the same and United win or draw then we only need 1 point from our last two games. If this stays the same and United lose, then 5th is guaranteed before we even kick a ball.
United needs to win their three games and we need to lose both of ours to finish sixth. Anything else means fifth place, unless West Ham completely implodes.

People have talked about Cork, Cleverley, Colback, Rodwell, all players who 'could' prove to be good players under Martinez.

Diame for £3.5m WOULD be a good player for us, no leap of faith required there. He'd also be cheaper than Cleverley and probably Cork, cheaper even than whatever buy back clause we'd put into a Rodwell loan.

Absolute no brainer if we're looking for another centre mid.

I'd be happy with the likes of Diame for that price to flesh out our squad for Europe.

The big investment needs to be upfront.

Cork and Diame and we have real depth in the middle going into Europe for 6.5m and a signing on fee for Barry.

Yeah mate, Brennan corrected me haha, knew my maths was off! Sunderland to get a draw at Old Trafford and its happy days. I want us to win tonight, but it we have 5th confirmed before we play, then i really couldnt care.

Going to be pretty funny if United make 6th (minus Moyes) and qualify for the Europa (early rounds - messing up their pre-season money making tours) thanks to City winning the Carling Cup..

Man Utd have already confirmed the tour will go on regardless. They will have 2 different teams.

1-0 to Bolton, Birmingham look like they're heading to league One. lol

Used to have Clark in Huddersfield - he made 40 signings. See how many you've heard of at home!

Anthony Pilkington, Lionel Ainsworth, Dominik Werling, Lucas Jutkiewicz (L), Martin Kelly (L), Lee Peltier, Peter Clarke, Antony Kay, Theo Robinson, Robbie Simpson, Jordan Rhodes, Danny Drinkwater, Kristian Pearce, Neal Trotman (L), Dean Heffernan, Nathan Eccleston (L), Gary Naysmith, Joey Gudjonsson, Joe Garner (L), Scott Arfield, Jamie McCombe, Damien Johnson (L), Lee Novak, Graham Carey (L), Ian Bennett, Alan Lee, Nick Colgan, Benik Afobe (L), Kevin Kilbane (L), Tamas Kadar (L), Danny Cadamarteri, Stephen Jordan (L), Danny Ward, Sean Morrison (L), Oscar Gobern, Liam Cooper (L), Tommy Miller, Donal McDermott, Callum Woods, Anton Robinson, Jon Parkin (L), Alex Bruce (L), Kallum Higginbotham, Murray Wallace.

Few ex-toffees in there.

Agree completely. Very few on here, deep down, want us to lose today, but I don't think there'll be anyone that upset if we lose.

Those 3 for £6.5m, if we could manage it, would be top business.
I'd have absolutely no concerns about squad depth next year if we did that and invested heavily up top and on the wing. Flesh the rest of it out with our up and comers from the reserves and there is a lot to get excited about.
