Villa-Spurs: This feels like one of those relegation scrums in which both squads need 3 points and anything less does absolutely no good, so naturally a draw happens and they both go down. Only this one is for 4th place.

Villa bought the wrong Boro player. If there was only player who looked good for city today it was Johnson.

Friedel is have a great match. Gomez has also developed into a better than avg keeper as well.

Blackburn fan in a critical condition after their game at Stoke. Metal bin thrown into the crowd apparently.

I really don't understand the mentality of someone who can do that, over a ****ing game of football that they were winning anyway.

A man is in a critical condition in a Stoke hospital after an incident during the Rovers fixture at the Britannia Stadium this afternoon.

The man was among a 1300-strong Rovers following in the South Stand, occupied by visiting supporters.

Chief Inspector Adrian Roberts of the Staffordshire Police said: "We are carrying out a full investigation of the incident to ascertain precisely what happened.

"The man was taken from the ground in an unconscious state and is in a critical condition at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire."
