ToffeeWeb

It had become the same half dozen people chatting wham to each other most of the time, and the articles were dull. To be fair, Sam Hoare was good and so was Robert Tressell, so maybe they'll turn up on here. Don't know if the new owners are even Evertonians - it reads like its been written by AI now.

Michael Kenrick was very much a man with a fork in a world of soup of late. Probably needed a break, so good luck to him and Lyndon. Mind you, we all need a break from Everton at times
Hmm...

I remember the early days, wild! No holds barred arguments and crazy wind ups.

The Mrs used to go mad at me when on family foreign holidays going off the internet cafes to bang a few euros in to catch up on the latest shenanigans. Phones with no internet 😜
I remember one wind up on there years ago. It was when Liverpool City Council put in cameras around Matthew Street and you could log in and watch in real time.

Someone on Kipper created a fake dating profile and lured a load of Kopites to meet “her” in Matthew Street but they had to wear an LFC shirt.

Loads on Kipper watching the web cam as about 10 fellas wearing Liverpool tops all turned up at the same time and place just stood looking at each other.

Some good windups on there, then there was a falling out with the management and it all went to pot.

That was a classic! Remember that well, imagine that now 😜

It's a tremendous resource. I use their archiving regularly.

Tad concerned they'll lose that in time as I'm not sure it's run by Everton fans anymore. Looks like agency putting content creators in. If so, they'll just chase clicks and care about little else.

yeah the season pages are a brilliant resource, great to look up old results, see both an everton fans perspective and all the match report links to the guardian, bbc, sky etc

it’s also the little things like how they’ve tracked where we were in the league after each game so you can see how we progressed through the year

My online Everton life was pretty much born on Toffeenet, a sibling of Toffeweb. Good luck to Lyndon and Kermit (red Jag and Taytos innit).

Still remember the best (Ian Mac), worst ( Billy Williams) and quirkiest (Heinkenny) folk.
