Liecester would be a funny place for him to go to get 1st team football, with the likes of Vardy, Iheanacho, Daka in front of him. Unless some of them are leaving tomorrow??
Rumours that either of Iheanacho and Daka could be off, and Vardy is pretty much done these days

I think most likely is that Daka goes and then Cannon comes in to compete with Vardy for 2nd choice - although Iheanacho hasn't exactly started that well so you never know he might go straight in

Poor lad only wanted to go on loan to Preston

He is getting on a bit though. Cash in now i say.

Ndidi has been terrible for 2 years. Great player for the first 4 years at the club but not a player many would be sorry to see leave now. Injuries and personal problems have taken their toll.
Sometimes a change of scenery is needed, see pienaar, arteta etc

Good move this. Yeah it may bite us in the backside if he turns out to be quality and we have no sell on clause. But finally we seem to be selling our young players when their stock is high, unlike Tom Davies etc.

Any good?

I'm a little concerned that with your attacking problems he hasn't been deemed good enough to be given a chance. Did well at Preston though right?

hes currently better than the kid chermiti we got from sporting lisbon, they probably think he has more potential though.
our director of football doesnt know his arse from his elbow though.

Ive watched Cannon come through the u18s and u21s without looking unduly promising, just the odd spectacular goal. But in the last two seasons he’s upped his game so much , and although a low starting base I’d say he’s been the most improved player at our club at any level in this time.
This doesn’t make him a PL starter , but for me it shows a mental / physical side that he has and a desire to improve that can make up for other gaps. I’d say he was worthy of another loan out to see if his upward trajectory continues. It’s criminal really that our Financial situation has allowed this, the quoted £7.5 mill shows how much Championship clubs with ambition rate him . I think he’ll at least double that fee in a short time if he continues to improve and we’ll look back on this and shake our heads at those who put is in a position to have to sell on our best youngsters.
