Hes been at the club since 2012 and played 3 times, selling him is NOT a mistake.

Not playing him was potentially the mistake.
True.
But selling a player that 9 managers have deemed surplus is the correct thing to do in August 2023.

Whether that decision is correct, well we find out in the future, but for now its 100% the correct thing to do.
The percentages say it is, the arl romantic in me says it isnt - but what do I know

This ‘premier league football’ experience is vastly overrated and very chicken and egg with managers like Dyche and Moyes. Holgate, Keane and Godfrey have lots of PL experience and would stink out at teams in the championship or League One. As we see in the Carabou Cup.

We've made close to £60+mill on academy players where as previously we'd hold on to Davies, Dowells, Garbutts etc and can't get rid of sell for low fees after miss management.

Play em or sell em.

We've currently got Dobbin, Branthwaite, and Onyango with the first team so it's not like we're not trying.

Buy back or sell on would be sensible.

We’ve had far too many instances where we’ve retained a player too long they’ve lost their value…. Connolly, Broadhead, Baningime, Gibson, Bowler etc, if there’s no clear path into the side then it makes sense to move him on.

If he turns out to be a superstar a sell on or buy back means we can at least benefit in the future.

Player wants to go
Price agreed
Wages no issue
Leicester keen to wrap up the deal

What could go wrong?
Wait, we’re so skint we can’t afford a fax machine.
We've got form for leaving things to late. We signed Adrien Silva 14 seconds after the deadline shut so he couldn't play for 6 months lol

Hopefully it’s not done. Why would any evertonian wantbto sell a young talent knowing there is a zero percent chance those funds are reinvested?
