No. Not exactly. It helps his character for sure but on the pitch last season he was easily our most natural finisher (based on Preston performances). Deserves a crack and will go far.

I think the signing of Chermiti says the writing's on the wall for Cannon, which I am disappointed by as I thought there's something about Tom, I guess we'll see with someone else!

He's 5th choice forward as it stands so has no short term future. If we are being offered 7m or more, then I don't see how we can turn that money down. I think we owe it to the player to take the money, wish him well, and let him go and play. I think he'll be really good right away at championship level.

Would still rather loan Cannon out to the Championship to see how he fares. Going by last seasons figures he could possibly get 15 - 20 goals and his price doubles or he could possibly be ready for us hopefully in the PL. If we sell now then it will be obvious we are desperate for money.
