I just do not rate the lad. And I was one of the few prepared to give him a chance when he came.

...when he broke into the England side I was really impressed with the goalscoring positions he got in but he was a very poor finisher. He came through the ranks at United so can clearly play but he was woeful last time I saw him.

I bet Watford is ringing with the sound of fans saying "This could turn out to be a very good signing, Alex Ferguson played him so there must be something there". Unfortunately he really hasn't got anything to offer us, and is nowhere near good enough.

Hope he does ok and Watford buy him just in time for him to find his championship level.

Just nowhere near good enough for Everton. Not his fault ultimately, the fault of those who brought him here.

He's had one good game for us in his entire dismal time as an Everton player. I can't recall the opposition exactly, but it was a cup game where he started off in CM and moved to RB to cover someone going off injured. Think it was Barnsley in round 2 of last season's League Cup.

He was quite good in that match.

His next significant contribution to this club will hopefully be attracting a fee of around £8m and getting on his bike.
