got to say, i know he's terrible, but i'm a bit underwhelmed about £8m. For some reason he has a massive reputation, you see absolute turd players go for twice that price. I mean ibe going for twice that price, cleverley still has a fair few england caps, ibe will never even see one. With comparisons to thousands of transfers, i just think we could have got more for him. be glad to have him off the books though.

Think if the owners of Watford ever came in this forum mate it would be Everton paying Watford a fee of £8m to take him, not the other way around.

yeah i know. I just see stupid fees for just average average players who are actually worse than him. He's proven in the league and a former england international who seems to have a decent reputation in the media, much more worthy than the price of a jordan rhodes for example who went for more between championship clubs.

I think with Ibe though mate is he's young and hasn't had a massive amount of game time so he could in theory still turn into a worldie. Drogba didn't become boss until later on in his career. Cleverly has been around for a long time and everyone knows he isn't getting any better any time soon ha

On bonfire night, I saw several bonfires across the city mate, where the " Guy " being burnt had a Tom Cleverly mask on.

Found his level, good luck to him. Nothing against him at all, cost us nothing and didn't specifically cost any big games that I can remember. Just not good enough for a club like us.
