He played well, and the fact that he has the cojones at his age to be named captain , speaks a lot about his character.

Using that logic then the majority of Sunday league players are quite close to premier league action

For me get starts til Gomes is fit he has legs and does try to get forward at least. Gana and Snides sit too much and are passive as a pair it doesn't work. Hopefully Silva now realises.

People still say he’s going to be special, in the same way Barkley was going to be the next Gasgoine and Rodwell a future England captain. It’s far more likely he will be more of an Osman or Gosling.
Well we should probably stop all this crap as a fanbase full stop then. If he turns out to be an Osman level player, what’s wrong with that? We are a very average Premier League club and will be that for the foreseeable future, we’re not going to have special players in every position, we’ll be lucky if we get one or two at the same time in fact.

Only midfielder we have who can actually turn around with the call. Might not be a high bar to set but everything is relative to the dross around him.

Silva named him captain as there were no real viable alternatives, he didn't sort of win the honour in a fighting pit.
He didn't play "well", he played marginally above his unsual standard. He was woeful for at least 30 mins (where the team actually needed some leadership).

It speaks, but of desperation in this Club..Unsworth is manager of u 23 team so I don't expect bright talents in future, he would put xavi and iniesta on fullbacks or not play them at all
