Isn’t the point of the academy to produce players? We’ve essentially got a good young player for the squad for free and people are moaning. If in 2 or 3 seasons he’s not kicked on or played enough and a championship team gives us a transfer fee for him then there’s literally been zero downside for Everton. Contrast that with the likes of Klaassen or Bolasie.

The clubs management obviously have faith in him and I believe he has the potential to form part of our team in the near future. He does need to impose himself more on the game when he does get the chance.

I understand why the club didn't let him go to Celtic in Jan because they obviously felt we needed cover in that position, but given how limited his starts have been it's a real shame because it could have been the making of him.

Good news, plenty of potential and a coach who plays good football. Lrt's not forget our youngsters had Allardyce and Koeman as managers recently and they didn't really get the best out of anyone did they. I hope this length out of the side will have reset Davies, I think he suffered more than most the last two years.

I have voiced my opinion on this player many times and always get shot down. Tom at best is bang average and that is being kind.
