I have no time anymore for Tom Davies, I don't want him in the squad, I don't want him at the club.

I just want him to leave. He isn't a talented footballer

I really wished we had unearthed another local gem, but I now feel like the only reason he hasn't been moved on already is because he is indeed local.
21 years of age, but absolutely no pace or power.
The most worrying thing? He, or anyone in the club, doesn't even know his best position.
Too slow for an attacking mid, not good enough technically for a centre mid and not strong enough in the tackle for a defensive mid. We should have Iwobi and Delph as squad options, both of who are 'specialist' in their roles.
How easy is it going to be to move him on? Well his wages must be low enough. I hope Brands shares this view.

If he´s going to have a career at a top 10 Premier League club, then he is going to have to kick on massively. Start doing things that right now he doesn´t look capable of.

Every time he comes on he has no idea what to do. His awareness on a football pitch is horrendous

he weirdly actually gets himself into space. A LOT, but as much as I defend him and love seeing young local lad in the team I cannot understand how he repeatedly makes bad decisions on the ball and can’t win a tackle. Like how can you not improve these things if you are serious about playing at this level.

id still prefer we manage to turn a local lad into a decent squad player, but we do need to be more ruthless when players are proving regularly that they aren’t up to it

Defended him a fair bit and I still think there is a player in there somewhere but it honestly seems like he hasn't improved much from when he was first brought in to the first team. He's 22 this year but still looks every bit the boy trying to be a man.

Hopefully Carlo can sort him out. A start would be sacrificing some weight for quickness.

Tom is still working out what style of play is best for him. Pace isn't the be all and end all for a midfielder look at riqueleme, Barry, pirlo, and in their later years totti and Beckham. I'm not saying Tom is anywhere near these players but they all played to their strengths and excelled.

I can't see it happening now. He's so inconsistent and just doesn't have the pace or power to be a midfielder in the Premiership by the looks of it.

His awareness is shocking. Leading up that first goal was like watching amateurs play. Ancelotti maybe able to coach and teach him these things but they keep creeping back into his game. The other thing that totally baffles me, when he breaks with the ball how does he keep falling over?? it’s like he’s running down a hill all the time

personally think he’ll be gone in the summer, maybe on loan and see if it does him a turn like Holgate

There was no need to make the tackle for the second goal, and from where I was stood it looked as if he let the players run past him who actually scored.

Surprise surprise, Tom getting scapegoated again.

Any other club, the kid is supported, nurtured. As a blue, he should be treasured. He's far far from a bad or incapable Footballer.

Unsurprising to see a young player being inconsistent in a poor team, under his 8th manager in less than 4 years.

Really hope he sticks it out and stays because he'll be an England player and a future Everton captain. Still think top six clubs would consider him if we were looking to move him on.
