But I'm still pissed off with how long it took Silva to give him his chance.

Keeps playing like this and he's first-choice central midfielder for the remainder of the season. Well done again today Tommy D.

It is a crying shame it took so long for the manager to put him back in the team. The boy is an Everton midfield player all day long. Delighted he's nailed down the place and is shutting people up.

Bit harsh that, i was also falling into the "what does he do" trap but he had a motm performance for England u21s and seems to have just clicked since then...

Sometimes it can be good management to gradually bring him in and develop his game behind the scenes.

Definitely a long term squad member now.

Has taken his chance and is now playing with confidence. Always looking to go forward and improving his tackling and defensive play. Deserved his goal today,hopefully will get a few more in the coming weeks.

He should have been involved much earlier and I've always been a fan. He does good things that our other midfield players don't.

For me i thought Gomes + Gbamin this season with Delph as rotation and davies backup.

Right now though its more like Davies + 1

I wonder where he will end up CM or DM.

But hes put a shift in the last few games and im so happy hes proving me wrong.

His development was set back badly when he was left to try and carry an utterly shambolic Koeman team at only 19. And then hurt even more by Allardyce and the anti football.

But I have never had doubts that the boy has the capabilities to be successful here. He tries to do the right things and make himself available for the ball. He's my type of player.
