I was astonished he didn't play ahead of Gomes in the previous two. Picked up where he left off.

Fits this system well and an increasingly useful squad option. Folk will go mad because they want all out attacking intent, but there are games you need to play the war of attrition or dig in.

I thought he did well

he's a good player mate, ignore some of the whiffs on here, I used got play centre mid so watch our genre mids in particular. Davies' role changes from game to game, that shows he is trusted with this and can change his role as per the manager's instructions, Carlo likes him, I like him.

Not the greatest player but you can never accuse him of not putting a shift in.

Absolutely miles better than Gomes.

Davies definitely isn't the answer long term, but currently he offers far more than Gomes and Delph.

Had a steady game but got to be near top of list for replacing if we are to look at progressing
