Nice enough lad,but not even remotely close enough to having what's required

Wish he'd have kicked on from his first season but he's actually gone backwards, its just not to be.
Yes, that's the problem in a nutshell.

Personally I think he will be a 'Nicky Butt.' Nice guy, loyal servant for many years... then out the door to Newcastle as soon as the cash is on the table... and nobody will miss him.

I love Tom, but that performance was hideous - feels bad to highlight him in particular given that nobody (other than Pickford) showed up - but he was awful.

It feels that whenever we play him in a position where he can keep us ticking over, we do well. When he's bad, the entire team seems to struggle too. Wonder how much his game will improve once fans return to the season.

Seems his positional play has improved drastically under Carlo, but his technical limitations are just too great to be considered a player that could help us bridge the gap with the top teams.

He's not mobile enough or strong enough despite his technicalities.

He's a bit like Osman in a way, but Osman was far more intelligent and knew his limitations. Had a great touch, good in tight spaces, had an engine, chipped in with goals.

Davies probably suits French or Italian footy

well, he's still only a 22 year old midfielder and his form is on an upward trend, but it seems a poor game has caused many to forget that.

His form has consistently dropped since his debut. An few half decent games don’t account for a turn around in form.

I don’t think we should sell him, we won’t get any money and he’ll be on relatively low wages. However, he needs to be 5th or 6th choice midfielder and limited to 5 appearances a season, max.

But give another kid the 5th/6th spot next season. Price ? Onyango? if they’re only getting 5 games and take the money fir Davies and move one. Crazy to have a 23yr old with 150 appearances as 6th choice
