When he plays we cede an edge to the opposition. It’s the same with Sigurdsson. Brighton’s midfield got on top of us because we don’t have the pace to win the ball back. When we have Allan Gomes and Doucoure that doesn’t happen.

Not sure what you didnt get about that, better players i.e hamez & doucoure make bad players look good. Take inheanacho for example, when he played for city he looked a decent player, went to leicester and has looked bog standard (except when he plays against us cause everton that)

Was probably the highest pass completion he's had for us. Not all easy back-to-the-defenders passes either.

He shied away too much in the first half doing nothing. Think the reason Carlos played Davies instead of Gordon or Bernard is perhaps to make him visible before transfer deadline.

Thought he did well - more composed, better accuracy but Decourre, Mina and James were in my opinion far above in in the stakes for MotM. But you are right much better today.

A lot of boys in the mix for MOM today. Sign of a “complete” performance.

Davies can play an important part for us this season, we will need performances from all our squad players as injuries,suspensions,rotation of players etc takes its toll throughout the season...
