Not sure. I’ve favored a loan so as to get him sustained play but guys like Allan and Gomes are going to miss time and with long runs in cup competitions there’s a need for a player of his profile. Small sample size but it appears as if being made to okay a role with better players around him, and having to compete for his job, has led to some improvement. He may never dominate games against too opposition but still seems a needful piece this season.

From what I saw, he played reasonably well yesterday.

I'd say that I'd be concerned about his level of play in the derby if he were needed, but then today happened.

Davies saving grace is that he is a snidey rat. I’m sure Carlo is all about that- especially from a young player. Personally a fan when he fouls and teabags the guy lol
Hard to imagine Davies as a hard man but he tries to act like one which our Don clearly likes
