The irony when Ancelotti turns to Davies again after Sigurdsson and Gomes are benched and he’ll still be getting in the team even after the club has bought Sigurdsson, Schneiderlin, Klaasen, Bernard, Gbamin, Gomes, Delph, Iwobi, Allan, Doucoure, James all since Tom made his debut, and he still looks probably our best bet to start in the third midfield slot at the weekend. Unbelievable.

1953 was my first game at Goodison v Swansea (2nd division). I am more ancient than you think. The only fatality in my family caused by the Gerrrmans was our Peter the budgie. Found in the cage with his legs sticking up in the air, killed by a bomb blast, RIP 1941. It could have been Klopp's grandad in the Gerrrman plane.

Prob deserves a go in midfield after the woeful performances of gomes and sigg this season. But he is bang average. Last 2 seasons with plenty of game time to see him have proved that. Everton are bang average with him in midfield too. So it's not going to be much of an improvement if anything. We need a player with some pace. Who can break lines and can pass forward.

I agree. It’s one of those where he looks better because he hasn’t been involved in the recent debacles. He’s not good enough unfortunately. Nothing against him but his performances have been consistently poor for some time.

Tom Davies is crap, he would not make the first 11 of any team in the top flight - its disappointing as every Evertonian wanted 'our Tom' with his socks down his ankles to do well but its not the managers fault (all 5 of em (right?) who seen him play) its himself.
