Rondon is better than Davies yeah. I’ve actually seen Rondon compete for a ball and pass it to another player. Davies can’t do anything.

It’s a long-standing issue we have as a club - stupid loyalty. Unsworth with the under 23’s, Duncan Ferguson sticking around after multiple failed tenures, coaching jobs for Baines/Jeffers/jevons etc. All well and good if it works then great - and it’s important to have an identity as a club - but regarding failure will get us nowhere.

People talk about useful squad players - but given our injury record we need players who are good enough to step in and do a job. Tom Davies isn't. The fall off in class when we lose a Doucoure and need to replace with a Davies is precipitous. Off to League One, please.
