? ? But can’t get in the teams midfield 3 and garner and doucoure get on before him. I’d play young price before him. 7th choice in my eyes

He's far better than Doucoure, Gueye, and probably Garner too, although we've barely seen him so who knows. Davies is a good player in a midfield 3, always has been. Picks the ball up turns and passes forward. Something very rarely seen in everton teams.

….he does try and be brave on the ball as you suggest but he’s still very ordinary at it. He’s also heavy legged with no powers of recovery meaning when the opposition go beyond him he’s out of the game.

Listen to a Radio Merseyside commentary when he next plays.

Lucky if he is mentioned by name 3 times, in the whole 90 minutes.

A truly 'invisible' midfield player.

Honestly take the blue glasses off. This sentimental crap is holding the club back has done for years. Davies has give us 6yrs and 150 games of dross. At any club with ambition he’d have been down the road 3yrs ago.

Well I'm not really interested in who the managers picked, I'm using my eyes, and Davies > Doucoure every time.
Well you need an eye test then. Both offer very little, Davies isn’t good at one thing . The only thing doucoure offers is a good engine and presence. There’s a reason Carlo bought 2 midfielders and frank in less than 12 months had bought 3 and loaned 2.

I’m new to this site, but maybe I’m missing something. Are these posts wind ups?

Normally I’d use Mr Davies as wedge issue to make outlandish claims of his talent and importance to Everton, as a plain view attempt to goad the edgy and angry posters upon us who - despite it being very obvious what I’m doing - will still bite at it as they exist only to be angry and enjoy the self importance of their own voice more than they have emotional intelligence. This results in them ending up in later life fraught by broken relationships all around them, with the central theme being their own misplaced pride, unacknowledged self loathing and ability to prioritise being selfless over being selfless. When the floppiness hits, and it always hits, it takes away the one remaining salvation of their soul: their masculinity.

Despite this I want to level with you on Tom and some of the others in a one off forthright manner, free from cheap antagonism. Here it goes.

They achieve a much better quality of erection than their detractors, kiss much prettier girls and find contentment in their own being on a level those who hate them sadly never will.

Soz, can’t help it.

Seriously though while I’m a huge advocate of mindfulness and our inner journey and admire how out there they are about all of it I think it should be reigned in a bit until they’re performing on the field as that’s what they’re there to do and saying stuff like - I can’t let what people think of me bother me - whilst virtuous is not the messaging you want to be giving out to fans who dote on the club you’re being paid extremely handsomely to play for while those fans, or more accurate “stakeholders”, struggle to purchase a ticket.

The fashion and such ok lads, I like your individualism and celebration of the arts but it only makes you less relatable to the fans and even resentful that you can’t put together any sort of run of form to help justify your inclusion as part of the club. If you’re local you should really feel that on a deeper level.

The fans are wanting to see effort, talent and consistency in return for being part of Everton. Do that and then there’ll be more goodwill to your interests and causes outside of the game. We want a footballer, not an influencer.

Verbose, but accurate.

But I never said he was better than the midfielders Lampard bought did I? I said he is better than Doucoure, that's literally all I wrote.
