I like him.
He is a bit light weight and doesn't have much pace about him but he can pass and seems to have a brain which is more than can be said about Valencia.

That's another 25 PL mins or so under his belt, making mistakes but learning all the time and doing more right than wrong. For the U23s that driving run would have taken him into their penalty area and he'd have laid the ball off , in thePL he's quickly closed down by a circle of 4 players and goes nowhere, but he's smart enough to learn from it. And importantly when he does these runs others will start to see them and back him up . He obviously lacks Barry's experience and the way Barry moves towards the defender with the ball , just a few steps , but our defender sees he wants the ball and gives it. Tom often just stands there so Jags/Williams are sometimes reluctant to give him the ball, again it's different at U23s he's the go to man so they give it to him more. Just another learning point on his upward curve.

Much better after he was brought on, couple of moments where you could see how raw he is with his running with it for too long and the pass right at the end for Coleman, but he had other moments where he showed maturity above his years (particularly the foul on the counter)

Il admit at first viewing i burst out laughing when he threw himself in to the box to win a penalty, was defo getting his shirt pulled but looked like he was training for a long jump competition :D

Can see he would probably be our most comfortable player on the ball and has a real eye for the more risky passes through the middle which will really benefit the forward lads who can get it, turn and run.

If half of the stuff he was doing was not fluking then he has got some attacking talent for a defensive midfielder. Can't wait to see him start!

I will refrain from this thread to avoid contributing the fantasy imaginations of so called potentional :bye:
