Tonight's internationals

To the champions of the world/Europe.

Indeed. No shame in that.

Remember I was saying England were like the kopites of international soccer:
BBC Sport's Phil McNulty at Wembley: "Tedious and Wembley shows its disapproval. England dominating possession but no cutting edge and too many aimless long balls in the direction of Peter Crouch. Wayne Rooney very quiet. Kevin Davies anyone?"
Booing them off, nil nil at half time. Laughable really.

And then I read this:

From BBC Scotland's Colin Moffat at Hampden
: "First sighting of Craig Levein as the Scotland coach prowls pitch-side for a spot of hand waving. There's no way the players can hear a word he is saying. The old battle cry of 'get into them' rattles around the febrile stadium."

Could be Goodison really, and there's the difference.

That's why more blues support Scotland rather than England.

so what? still funny. Are they playing a striker today or are they going for the 3-0 defeat. Damage limitation and all.

They're losing to a pen, as well.

And damage limitation? Well they're defending and then trying to counter, yes. Do you expect them to go toe to toe with the greatest passing nation on the planet? England would be doing the exact same right now -- getting overun. The difference is, England wouldn't have as many excuses -- what with all the "world class talent".

Did you see that England player get booked for diving there? Disgraceful. I'm pleased that the true footballing morals within the UK still exist with the home teams.

Scotland have scored a goal, against the World & Euro Champions thus were miles better than England.
