Joe do you think you might actually be Koeman? I'm charting the general decline of your sanity here and I'm thinking we may be in Conduct Unbecoming / Jekyll and Hyde type scenario. Surely you don't agree with Cottee?
my first post on this thread-
As or when he played for us ever understood the club motto?
Nil Satis Nisi Optimum", meaning"Nothing but the best is good enough".

Was just on there this morning saying that the downturn in form could be partially down the the negative attitude of the fans. What do we reckon to that? I reckon there could be some truth in it.

"Some are born negative, some achieve negativity...

and some have negativity thrust upon them - That's us that is, 'koff Cottee

No doubt about it. We have turned goodison from one of the most intimidating atmospheres for visitors to a imtimidating atmosphere for ourselves.

From a once proud venue which is capable of effecting results it nearly turned into an embarrassment if a moaning library.

People go on about a reaction crowd and i can understand that to a certain extent .everyone has paid in and has a right to moan a bit if not playing well but goodison atmosphere above all places can effect the results in games and as a club we dont use it at all. Can see why the club doesnt do something in relation to a positive singing section in the gwladys street end. Fans cant organise it. No big flag waving malarkey just a couple hundred supporters sectioned together.

Arn't flags banned of the old style banners, not something you just drape over a wall now?

i think crowds can have an affect

but this is something hardly unique to us... mourinho and klopp have respectively both called out the atmosphere and their fans for not bein positive.. i think ferguson actually did as well.. its just the way the game is now, fans are treated like customers so they are prone to act like one

I'm sure they're crying over their £100k a week wages. Not having that at all, used to be a lot worse back in the 'older' days.

Indeed.

You would think Everton fans berating their team for bad performances was a new thing.

Or that it was unique to us.

Good job Cottee wasn’t around in the cushion chucking days.

As for the atmosphere at the ground?

Let’s face it, this ain’t the chicken and egg conundrum.

What came first......poor performances from the team or apathy from the fans?

Why, it was the performances innit
