Daily Mail has done a story on the Statue of Hibberty!

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...card-Norway-New-York-Citys-Statue-Libery.html

He's an Everton legend, having represented the club he joined as a youngster since 1991, but Norweigan fans of a certain Toffee's full back have taken their admiration for the one club man a step further.

On the day of his 32nd birthday, Tony Hibbert has been immortalised by his Scandinavian fan club as one of New York City's most famous attractions - The Statue of Liberty.

The former England U21 international may hold the record for the current Premier League player to play most games without ever scoring a goal (258 and counting) but his appalling record in front of goal has done nothing to diminish his popularity with the Everton faithful.

While he shows no signs of breaking his scoring duck in the League, Hibbert did cause chaos this summer when he scored a stunning free kick in his testimonial at Goodison Park against AEK Athens.

Such was the shock inside the ground at watching the ball fly into the net that the goal sparked a pitch invasion as Hibbert was mobbed by team-mates and fans alike.

The combative defender had to watch David Moyes' side's 2-2 draw with Oldham this weekend from the stands as he continues his comeback from a calf injury.

With no return date set, Hibbert will be hoping that he can end his baron run in the near future - though he may have a job on his hands ousting Leighton Baines from his set piece duties.

And who knows, by the time he retires maybe he can persuade the Everton board to erect a similar statue outside Goodison in his honor.

Not great news about Hibbert maybe not being back this season, for all of Coleman's positive points going forward, I am still worried defensively about him. Hibbert on the other hand holds no worries defensively for me, and at times this season he has been missed.

Coleman is by far the better option, but if he gets injured we are then in bother with Neville being badly exposed in his last appearences at RB, and we all know Stones wont get a run for at least 12 years

Retiring at the end of the season maybe? Cameo appearance at the end suggests he might be, or Moyes is more sentimental than he's let on.
