Understandable tbh.

I played 1 full season when I was 16, my team went all season and the best result we got was a 4-4 draw when I was in goal, like a young Big Nev that day me, I normally played CB cos I was tall and quite fast back in the day, some lad scored 7 goals tho 1 game when I was man marking him, that boy was rapid.

You sound right up Bobby's alley.

Genuinely embarrassed at our fan base, 'lets vote hibbo as motm for a rank average 45mins, pyaaaaar bantaaaa that lid, fancy a nandos', utterly shameful you gang of helmets
No need to refer to other blues in this way.

I actually thought he did some decent defending, which was refreshing to see for a change.

Just a few thoughts on Tony Hibbert given some of the negative comments about him being on the bench and playing yesterday.

Let's just look at the options the manager had available to him for yesterday and even last week at Wembley.

Seamus, our number one right back - injured
Browning, a young, one for the future right back - injured
Oviedo, a left back who could play there but has looked uncomfortable doing so in earlier games
Besic, much as I like Mo, he is no right back and shouldn't be played so obviously out of position

Now unless we have any more right backs I'm unaware of, that leaves the manager with his only available option - a player who is primarily a right back and a defensive one too, Tony Hibbert.

Hibbo may well be in the twilight of his Everton career, but the vast majority of Blues at the game yesterday gave him a great reception and you could see what it meant to him to be called upon yesterday by his reaction after the game.

Hibbo might not be a rampaging, offensive right back in the way that Seamus was and still is occasionally, but in the absence of Seamus and Tyias, he is arguably the most sensible option for the remaining three games of this season.

Tony has his fishing business interests already sorted for his post football playing career, and good luck to him. Whether he has ambitions to get into coaching, I don't know, but if he has then he could become a good asset for the club working alongside the other youth teams coaching staff and given he's a lifelong Blue, he would surely relish the chance to continue his involvement with the club.

I thought he was very good yesterday.

This.

We're all having a laugh that a millionaire who has never been able to cut it at the top level is playing for us.

Hibbert should have left to a club that his standard of playing suited. He's sat on his arse for six years getting paid to do nothing. The money we've wasted on his wages could have been used to subsidise away travel, season ticket prices, etc.

Fans like that are why we are considered a nothing club now.

there is no logic in this. Since he should have left the club many years ago, then he shouldnt have been voted motm yesterday?

To me the obvious thing was to play Connolly. It was the easiest game of the last 4, he'd done well last time out and it's more game time and experience for him. I've nothing against Hibbert who has been a great pro but we should be looking to the future and Hibbert isn't part of that.
