Tony Hibbert

Whatever you think of HIBBO - and none of it should be bad TBH given what he is/was - either way, it's an appalling way (if true) to terminate ANY form of employment given the service (time wise) he gave.

Stinks a bit TBH...

Y'think KENWRIGHT would have done well by them at least, y'know because BILL's such a devoted & loyal Evert...

Oh.
Stay off the gin !

To be fair somone at Everton should have spoken to them.

However Hibbert should not have gone moaning/bad mouthing Everton to the press. He has done very well out of the club. He had his testimonial and is also still using the clubs facilities.

Also when he left we had no manager so you can see how it happened.

Fair shout that.

But where I work every now and then we have "Black Friday" its clear your desk time , the cheques in the post.

If your lucky (or not) you get a mention in the company rag.

Sorry but I dont see millionaire footballers any different.
Aye, unfortunately a lot of people get much worse treatment.

Just feel the club had plenty of time to handle this a lot better and it reflects badly on them that they didn't.

Absolute nonsense from Hibbo.....the club has made him a millionaire, and continued to give him a lucrative job several seasons after he warranted it......how could he possibly feel he deserved another contract.....

And please don't insult hard working people who earn a tiny fraction of your salary by comparing yourself to them....

As for Bill not texting him......boo f'n hoo.....maybe Bill's more concerned with his health problems to remember to massage your ego...

Ungrateful ****

I know where he plays on the pitch. I also know the lads skill level. The question I asked you was about his attitude - which you're failing to answer.

No, you said "You would never see Hibbert allow players to stroll past him like Barkley or Lukaku", to which my point is - that is Hibbert's basic job, it's not Barkley's/Lukakus.

Comparing "attitude" is subjective and unhelpful, but if you insist, Lukaku is a Belgian international who has just played up front for his country in the world cup at the age of 23. You don't do that on talent alone, you need the dedication and attitude. Same goes for Ross.

Hibbert was a one club guy but, let's be honest, he had an easy ride of it, we carried him for many years. Where is his positive attitude for helping the club now he's no longer on the payroll?

Seriously? Isn't this what people like you have been crying out for? No more sentiment? Ruthlessness? Ah but you are right, hasn't played properly for 3 years so let's give him another contract just because he is a nice man
Surely you can be ruthless whilst being respectful, I'm glad we cut him loose, has been a waste of space for a few years now, but at least have the respect to tell him that!

Exactly.

Its an insult to most Evertonians this that have been paying his wages for the last twenty years.

I honestly cant see the club not at the very least telling him privately his time has come to an end at the club , we
may be bad at some things (transfers) but not this . Everton is above all that.

He's right, it's not the fact he wasn't retained but you would have thought Everton would have told him and helped him in his recovery. Good to see Blue Bill
Showing his true colours, the little weed
